ADFAS Young Arts Grant to Hemel Hempstead School’s Art Department

We recently received a plea from Lauren Rayner and her team to see if we could fund them for three state of the art so-called Visualisation Units for their department.   One of these units in each art class room enables the art teacher to show off detailed processes to their students without either leaving their desks!  The following photos give you some feel for how it all works.
A Visualisation Unit in action       A sample of detailed Art work!
B Recording and display on the PC       It really works!!
C Display for the Students      This is what the class sees from their desks
Previously they had to borrow an ‘old technology’ piece of equipment with complicated cabling requirements from another department each time this requirement was appropriate.   The new equipment will be in each of the art rooms permanently connected saving time and significant stress all round.    Since the new equipment is linked to the room’s PC (for storage of each stage in the process) and hence on to the overhead projector, everyone student benefits without disruption of having to cluster round the work in progress.

Our Chairman Julie Griffiths had a trip out to view the newly delivered equipment in use in one of the art rooms at the School.

Julie is seen here with HH Head of Art, Lauren Rayner, together with her newly qualified teacher from the beginning of this school year, Tianna Trotman.
